Public Relations & Marketing Committee

The Public Relations and Marketing Committee coordinates all internal and external communications for SAUDM!


We manage social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter), design all apparel (including the Big Event theme design), take photos at events, create videos for various campaigns, communicate with media groups in the Quad-Cities, manage the SAUDM website, create graphics and other promotional materials (for events, fundraisers, and recruitment) and more! We work closely with all other DM committees and our families for various projects! 


This committee is a great experience for anyone studying marketing, graphic design, communications, etc. It is also great for anyone who enjoys using Canva, social media, or is creative! We encourage anyone interested to apply! No experience is required and you will have the opportunity to try out any aspect of PR&M you are interested in or focus on your specific interests!

Public Relations & Marketing Chairs
Graphic Design Chair (1)

 

The Graphic Design Chair will work closely with the director on all SAUDM designs. Designs created by the PR&M committee include all apparel and t-shirt designs, social media graphics, marketing materials, and various other requests. This position requires design skills and an artistic eye. Other committee members will help with designs for apparel and graphics, but the Graphic Design Chair will take the lead on design projects. 


Valuable Skills & Qualities

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Applications

Multimedia Chair (1) 

The Multimedia Chair will head the photography and/or videography for SAUDM. Photography commitments include event photography for larger events such as Push Days, Kids Can’t Wait to Skate, Gala, Big Event, as well as headshots/photoshoots for the Morale Committee and Executive Board. Videography commitments include our Morale Theme Hour Videos, Fall Push Day video, Spring Push Day video, and Big Event video. Other committee members will help with photo/video, but the Multimedia Chair will take the lead on photo/video projects. It is preferred that you are able to provide your own camera for this position.

  • Access to editing software for photos and videos (Either: Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, iMovie, Final Cut, Etc…)

Social Media Chair (1)

The Social Media Chair will work closely with the director to run SAUDM’s social media accounts, which include Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter. Responsibilities will include scheduling posts, sharing posts, tracking analytics, updating content and information, and communicating with our audience through interactions and messaging. Other committee members will help with social media, but the Social Media Chair will take the lead on managing accounts and social media campaigns.
