Dance Marathon is a yearlong celebration of life to provide emotional and financial support for the families treated at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City, our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Dance Marathon is for the kids, and at St. Ambrose, we 'BEElieve in the Kids'.

Public Relations & Marketing Committee

The Public Relations & Marketing Committee does all internal and external communication for SAUDM. Within the PR & M Committee there are three divisions of focus that are assigned based on the individual's skills and prior experience. The three chairs lead each division: PR&M, Graphic Design, and Videography & Photography. All three divisions work closely with all other DM committees for various projects! Tasks individuals are expected to complete can be seen in more detail under the respected chair description.

Public Relations & Marketing Chair

Members who show interest and possess skills related to public relations, marketing, and social media will work on various external and internal communication platforms to strengthen the brand and assist the organization in meeting its goals throughout the year. Members assist the Director in running the social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, by scheduling posts, tracking analytics, updating content and information, and communicating with our audience via interactions and messaging. Members also assist with writing press releases, creating content for digital and print, outreach to various media platforms, managing the website and blog, evaluating and updating branding, and much more. May assist videography & photography with photos.

Graphic Design Chair

Members who show interest and possess skills related to graphic design and art will work on creating various graphics and designs throughout the year. Graphics and designs will be used on various print and digital platforms for both internal and external communication. PR & M is responsible for creating graphics for all other committees and for anything DM related. Members will also brainstorm and design apparel for the two online apparel stores and for the Big Event apparel, including the Big Event shirt design. Members may also assist with updating the website’s layout.

Videography & Photography Chair

Members who show interest and possess skills related to videography or photography will work on planning and executing various video projects throughout the year, as well as taking photographs at all DM events throughout the year. Members will have assistance from other members of the PR & M committee.
